I’m putting together a page of words that I’ve come across in my travels that I think are worth noting. These words may or may not be real words. In fact most of them are made up. Enjoy.

These are words that I have found that I think are funny:

FRUST (noun)

Definition: The small line of debris that refuses to be swept onto the dust pan and keeps backing a person across the room until he finally decides to give up and sweep it under the rug.

TELECRASTINATION (noun)

Definition: The act of always letting the phone ring at least twice before you pick it up, even when you’re only six inches away.

(for the record, I totally do that)

Okay this next one is actually a real word. I just laugh at the fact that it is a real word because the first place I ever heard it was from the movie elf.

gi·nor·mous (adjective)

Etymology: gigantic + enormous

Definition: extremely large : humongous

The following are words that I have made up:

less·agg·er·ate (verb)

Etymology: less + exaggerate

Definition: to understate: To decrease beyond the bounds or the truth : (opposite of exaggerate)

ep·iphasize (verb)

Definition: the process of coming up with an epiphany.

Floccinaucinihilipilification
Definition: The act of judging something to be worthless.

(apparently this is a real word. No one really knows how to say it though. )

((i take that back. You can listen to it here))

dis·a·press·ing (adjective)

Definition: disappointing + depressing

(This is a word that Chelsea and I made up. It is used to describe something that is both disappointing and depressing at the same time.)
