Christmas in New York

Here’s just a few pictures from our recent journey to New York City.  It was cold and wet… but fun and pretty.  We spent the day in Manhattan and saw a Broadway show in the evening: Young Frankenstein.

my date

This was supposed to have been posted over a month ago.  But I was just going back through old posts and found that it wasn’t finished.  So here it is:

Chelsea and I decided to go on a date to Starbucks.  I took pictures while we were there and decided that I was going to narrate them on my blog.

First she found a mug that she really liked.

Then she found a really cool pen.  Oh and….

“Hunny! this cup is only 2 dollars!”

“Hmm, now which one should I buy?”

For those of you who actually still care at this point, she ended up buying the pen.  But she didn’t really buy it, her mom bought it.  I don’t know, it’s some weird Christmas thing that they do.  If one of them finds something that they like close to Christmas time, they buy it… give it to the other person… when buys it from them…. and that person hides it away until Christmas when it gets wrapped up and gifted.  I know… it totally ruins the surprise.  :)

Either way…. she makes me smile.

2008

It’s 2008, and it’s time for an update on my life. At this point, it doesn’t feel too different than 2007. School starts again on Monday for one last time. I guess that’s big news. This is the first time in my 5 years of college that I actually feel like I am almost done. One more semester, then it’s graduation in May. Booyakasha!

I’m moving out soon. The exact day has not yet been set. But it should be before the end of the month. For those of you who do not know, I’m getting a house… kind of. I’m going to be “house sitting” for a couple years. It’s definitely a good thing because sometimes I get the feeling that my mom can’t wait for me to move out. I think I got that idea when my mom said, “I can’t wait for you to move out.” :) (Just kidding. I love you, mom!) I am pretty excited though. It’s been a few years since I have had my own place. That means I have to actually clean, and cook, and retrieve the newspaper wearing nothing but a bath rob. Seriously, why is it so cliche to get the newspaper in a bath robe?

So, what’s the biggest change for 2008? Well, I may or may not have met someone. And by that I mean… I met someone. Her name is Chelsea, and she’s the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. She is my princess. :)

Stay tuned for more updates later.
