I started a new blog: xtgo.net. It’s merely a branch of my current blog. I realize that most people don’t care to read about the techy stuff that I write about from time to time. Additionaly, there are people who don’t care to read about… well… everything else. So… in an attempt to be a bit more focused, blog.xtego.com will continue to be about personal stuff and will continue to be published to facebook. Everything is better in 3D

Panasonic is suposedly going to roll out production of a new 3D camera. It sports two lenses fused together to form native 3D capturing using a single device. For those of you who know how 3D video works, you would know that there are a couple of ways to do it. While I’ve never messed around with it myself, I do understand some of the basic concepts. Whether one wants to create 3D illusions from polarity or using color accents, both cases require two angles. Previously, of course, this was done with 2 cameras. Fancy the fact that it will now be possible with one. You’ve heard it said, everything is better with bluetooth, (CBS’s “The Big Bang Theory,” Sheldon speaking) well I say… “Everything is better in three dimensions.”

I decided yesterday that I really want to push to monetize my blog. Okay good plan. But how? Well for those of you aren’t reading this as a facebook note, you’ve probably noticed that my stories now have a fair number of Google ads around them. (No more then 3 per page. I read the agreement, Google.) I’ve been using Google adsense for years now. I’ve embedded some of the ads onto past Xtego conglomerations. And I’ve had adsense in place on this blog since its conception. Xtego also employees a Google Search. (search.xtego.com). For my fellow bloggers out there who don’t use adsense yet, I highly recommend it. All ads on your page will be relevant to the content of that page. So people that hit your site based on a search, see ads for that same search. It’s pretty wild.

So… if you start seeing more geeky reviews and nerdy how-to’s, well, deal. Cause that’s what draws the hits.

Two days in a row

So there’s no way it’s possible for someone to pull this two days in a row, but leave it to me to perform the impossible. Keep in mind I have been in my classes for 8 weeks now. I have monday/wednesday classes and I have tuesday/thursday classes. Some how, on both tuesday and wedenesday I thought both of my classes were a half an hour later than what they actually are. Now maybe someone would get confused and pull this off once. But twice? The day after? Yup, only me.

blackberry post

Okay, so it took me a while to get it working, but I now have the ability to post to my blog from my blackberry. There have been lots of times when I have wanted to post something immediately as it happened or I wanted to upload a picture right away, but wasn’t able to. Then later on, I would forget or just be lazy. That ends now. I know its geeky, but for those of you who know me well, know that I am, in fact, a geek. Deal with it.
This is hopefully the first of many posts that will be coming live from the field that is my life. So, for the 3 of you who follow. Enjoy!
