It looks like people over at the Linux foundation are trying to get in a piece of the “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC” action. I’m not sure how much money there is to make in an industry that is based on a platform that is open source, but the resulting ads could prove to be very entertaining. Novell seems to already have a few videos of their own. They can, of course, be seen at that one video website… oh crap, what’s it called? Well, it’s that site with all the videos on it. Anyway, just search for “Novell Get a Mac Spoof.” I’ve included one of the videos below for your viewing pleasure.

| I uncovered this video from a while back and thought I would share it with everyone. This was my dog. He’s a golden retriever. Sadly, he died last summer. However, while he was still alive, he kept magically getting out of his kennel, and we couldn’t figure out how. There were no holes in the cage, no holes under ground, and he certainly didn’t figure out the latch. So, I had the bright idea to set up a camera and provoke him a little bit. It turned out to be pretty funny and pretty genius… on the dog’s part, that is. Keep in mind, that fence is about 6 feet high. Enjoy! |

Yesterday, me and Chels and friends went on a hiking driving trip. We went to a couple vistas. We went swimming in sub-zero waters. We built a rockin’ …umm… rock tower. It was a genuine good time. Along the way, we stopped at the famous Forksville Gerneral Store. That’s where I saw this:
Now, you have to understand that Forksville is in the middle of no where, and if it weren’t for that store, I don’t think that there would even be a town. However, there are still few excuses to hang a gramatically incorrect sign above a doorway. Just my opinion, of course.

Curtis just escaped a near death experience.
While my life was not really in danger, there were enough people questioning this “experience” that I’ve decided to share the story with the world. So, if you have heard/read this already, I apologize.
I only had a short day of work yesterday as I was in Harrisburg for a quick 2 hour training. Upon arriving home, I decided that I was going to get some stuff done around the house. I’m rarely home and consequently rarely have time to keep things “looking nice”. On the list of things to do: yard work and laundry.
I mowed around the edge of the property and down my driveway (areas that get usually get missed with the riding mower.) I also pulled some big ugly weeds out of the garden as well as from the turn around area in front of my house. This was my downfall, and oddly, where the story gets good.
While I was pulling out these weeds I was also pulling up a fair amount of earth with their roots, creating small holes in the ground. This was my thought process for what happened next:
Well that’s weird… there’s a lot of bugs flying around that hole…
It was about that time when I realized that they weren’t just bugs flying, they were massive* killer** bees. Had I have hung around much longer than the split second that I did, the outcome may have been much worse. THERE WERE BEES EVERYWHERE!!!!! Fortunately for me, I was only stung one time. In retrospect, I attribute my good fortunes to the fact that I busted out some secret ninja moves known only to the government… but mostly it was because I ran away screaming like a little girl.
So, that was my experience. It wasn’t horrible, I know. But, join me next week, for Volume 2 of my near death experience : “Dumping Gasoline into a Bees Nest”
